About

I am currently looking for my next adventure so I'm ready when I turn off the microphone and hang up the headphones for the last time.

I wear lots of hats. Literally and figuratively.  I’ve been a rock radio personality in Kalamazoo, Michigan for 36 years now, and have run Scotty 'Bud' Melvin Media since 2010. I provide voiceovers for clients, drone video and photography, and digital transfers of old video tapes, film, slides, photos, and audio.

My voiceover work has allowed me to lend my voice to clients around the world, including: Goodyear, Borgess Health, State Theatre, Kalamazoo Wings, and more.

I am an FAA licensed Small Unmanned Aircraft Remote Pilot, which means I can legally fly a drone commercially. Mostly I fly for realtors in Southwest Michigan for commercial and residential real estate.  I have loved flying a drone since 2015.

Most of my work includes providing digital transfers to help save old video tapes, film, slides, photos, negatives, and audio like - cassettes, reels, albums. Over time, those items can degrade and get moldy.  Saving family memories is one of my favorite things to do.

In 2021, I released a rock documentary about The American Rock Festival that happened at Timber Ridge Ski Area near Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 27, 1984.  It was quite a show.  The information and link to the free video is at the top of the page.

Thanks for pokin’ around.
